Asda - Prahova Valley Pinot Noir Reserve
Malcolm Gluck’s book “Superplonk 2006″ gave this wine a rating of 16 (equivalent to Supermarket Wines rating of 4) so I thought it would be worth a try.
But when I got to the supermarket the only bottles they had were one 2001 vintage and the rest were all 2002.
Although commenting on the 2000 vintage, MG was right about it not being a typical Pinot. It was more like a heavy australian wine - not what I was looking for. Having said that as a wine it’s only fair to give it 3. If not a very enthusiastic 3. But put that down to personal taste.
